The Power of WE: Changing the Conversation and the Focus in K-12 Classrooms
There is a huge demand in this country for employees who can communicate and collaborate effectively, as well as think critically. Join Ron Nash as he models seemingly little things that make a big difference in classrooms as teachers all over the country shift ever more rapidly to student-centered classrooms. If you are looking for sit and git, this ain’t it. This session will be highly interactive, and you’ll be standing, pairing, sharing, laughing, and learning from start to finish. Ron will model interactive strategies such as give one-get one, standing pairs, pairs squared, See-Think-Wonder, and more. Wear comfortable shoes, and get ready to rock.

Ron Nash
Ron Nash has been in education since the dawn of man (well, since 1972 anyway). After escaping with his B.S in Ed. and M.A. in History from Clarion State College, Ron mastered the use of the overhead projector and colored chalk in classrooms in three school districts in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Ron retired from the Virginia Beach schools in 2007, vowing to get rid of all his suits and ties, and determined never to attend another meeting of any kind.
Since his retirement, Ron has presented all over the country in scores of schools and districts, and has presented at ASCD, Learning Forward, NBPTS, Eric Jensen’s Learning Brain Expo. He has written 16 books, including two bestsellers. Ron has written four books for IE.
Ron and his wife Candy live in Virginia Beach.
