
Match Up: Aligning Model Of Instruction (MOI) with the Marzano Evaluation Model Part 1 Conditions for Learning
Join us for an interactive session designed to clarify the alignment between the Marzano Teacher Evaluation Model (FTEM) and the Instructional Empowerment Model of Instruction (MOI). By joining this session, participants will leave with practical strategies, examples of effective student organization structures, and tools that make the connection between evaluation and model of Instruction seamless resulting in stronger Conditions for Learning classroom practice. Note: It is recommended that participants have some prior knowledge of both frameworks.

Diane Stultz
Diane Stultz, M.S. Ed. has more than 47 years of experience in education as a successful teacher, instructional coach, school change coach, facilitator of professional learning, leadership coach, and a senior Director of Learning and Leading for a not-for-profit organization. She has worked with rural, urban, and suburban schools (K-12) throughout the United States and with public schools in Hong Kong. Because she is a life-long learner, Diane earned her National Board Certification and other post-graduate courses and has been passionate about teacher and leader empowerment ever since. In order for schools to make the necessary needed systemic change, there must be strong, passionate leaders from the classroom through the central office. She has dedicated her career to making this happen to change the hearts and minds of students, teachers, and administrators. Her strong point is to make the complex easy to understand and implement.
She currently serves as an independent contractor and consults for several educational organizations. Ms. Stultz attended Bowling Green State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Education and a Master of Science degree in education with an emphasis on adult learning from The Ohio State University.

Karen Linville Doty
Karen Linville Doty has served as an IE consultant since 2017. She currently serves as a School Leadership Coach and Faculty Coach in several school districts while also conducting on-site and virtual professional development in the areas of Dr. Marzano’s Focused Teacher Evaluation Model (FTEM), Leadership Development, and Model of Instruction for Deeper Learning.
Karen Linville Doty has a wide variety of experiences across the country that include working in long-term projects as well as annual professional development sessions. Prior to consulting with IE, Karen served as a principal (elementary, middle, and high school) and teacher of middle grades and special education. She earned National Board Teaching Certification the first year it was offered (1993) and served on the Georgia Professional Standards Commission as well as mentored many teachers as well. She also taught in the College of Education at Georgia Southern University where she worked at the laboratory school on the campus as well.
Karen is a lover of learning, earning her Ed.D. From Georgia Southern University in the area of Curriculum and Administration. She holds a Masters and Specialist degrees in the areas of special education, middle grades, and elementary education. Her experiences have given her a wide lens with which to enter new situations and coach for greater learning and leadership.
