Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Registrants who find they are unable to attend the conference and/or preconference institute may identify a substitute who will attend the conference and/or preconference institute in their place. There is no fee for substitutions made prior to the first day of the event. Cancellation refund requests for conference and/or preconference institute registration payment must be received via email to ConferenceTeam@InstructionalEmpowerment.com by May 1, 2025.

For invoices that have already been paid, the refund will be processed (less a $100 cancellation processing fee per registrant) within 15 business days of the cancellation request. For invoices that have not yet been paid, the $100 cancellation fee is due within 15 business days of the written cancellation request. I.E. encourages registrants to identify a substitute attendee to take their place to avoid a cancellation fee.

We are unable to honor refund requests made after May 1, 2025. Refunds are not granted for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events, or early departure. I.E. is not responsible for weather-related cancellations or for airfare, hotel, or other costs associated with the conference and/or pre-conference if the registrant is unable to attend.

The event is subject to cancellation or change. Liability is limited to funds remitted for conference and/or preconference institute registration. Speakers are subject to change without prior notice. I.E. reserves the right to cancel any registration, at any time, for any reason. If your registration is canceled by I.E., you will be issued a refund for the full price that you have paid for registration. You will not be reimbursed for travel or other charges that arise due to I.E. canceling the registration.
