Stop Using AI. Start Leading With It: Designing Student-Led, Future-Ready Classrooms

Stop Using AI. Start Leading With It: Designing Student-Led, Future-Ready Classrooms

This session challenges educators to move beyond surface-level AI integration and reimagine instruction through a student-led lens. Instead of positioning AI as a shortcut for productivity, we will explore how to design learning experiences where students critique, refine, build, and ethically manage AI tools to deepen understanding and strengthen engagement.

Participants will examine practical models for:

  • Using AI as a cognitive partner for error analysis and reflection
  • Teaching students to audit bias and misinformation
  • Empowering learners to design simple AI tools that solve authentic problems
  • Embedding privacy, security, and ethical guardrails into classroom practice
  • Grounded in instructional rigor and inclusive design, this session demonstrates how AI can increase engagement, support diverse learners, and enhance—not replace—professional judgment.
